INTERNATIONAL NGO PARTNERSHIPS

  Adventist Development Relief Association (ADRA)
ADRA Ghana hosts OICI Farmer-to-Farmer volunteers in the area of Food Processing, Value-added services and Marketing to assist with training.  OICI is also partnering with ADRA in implementing the Ghana Enhance food security initiative.
     
  Academy for Educational Development (AED)
AED is bringing its considerable expertise to developing education materials to OICI's Ghana HOPE program by helping to developing HIV/AIDS care support guides.
     
  Agribusiness in Sustainable Natural African Plant Products (ASNAPP)
ASNAPP is working in Ghana to help create and develop successful African agribusinesses in the natural plant products sector.  ASNAPP is hosting Farmer-to-Farmer volunteers so that Herbs/Medicinal Plant Specialists can assist beneficiaries by introducing them to herb varieties, uses, transformation of herbs, and the promotion and sales strategies of medicinal products.
     
  CARE
CARE is currently working in Mali to create sustainable socio-economic development in communities.  CARE hosts OICI Farmer-to-Farmer volunteers for its initiatives that aim to improve the marketing and production of farm products.  CARE is also helping to develop HIV/AIDS care guides for OICI's Ghana HOPE program.
     
  Catholic Relief Services (CRS)
CRS is currently helping to construct borehole wells as part of OICI's Ghana Enhance food security initiative; borehole wells are instrumental in bring clean water access to rural communities.  CRS is also helping to develop HIV/AIDS care guides for OICI's Ghana HOPE initiative.
     
  Counterpart International
Counterpart International is providing key medical expertise in helping to implement the maternal and child nutrition component of OICI's Ghana Enhance food security initiative.
     
  EnterpriseWorks/Vita
EnterpriseWorks/Vita is providing its key technical assistance in implementing the microirrigation component of OICI's Ghana Enhance food security initiative.  Microirrigation brings irrigation technology to farmers who would typically not have the capacity to access irrigation technologies (such as subsistence farmers).
     

  Heifer International
Heifer International is helping to integrate improved livestock breeds into local farming systems for OICI's Ghana Enhance food security initiative.  The organization is also helping to distribute vitamin A tablets along with deworming medication for a component of OICI's Guinea Food & Livelihood Security project.

 
       
  LEAP Africa
LEAP is an international NGO headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria that equips youth with leadership skills.  LEAP has helped to train staff involved in OICI's Nigeria JOBS program, and has also provided skills and health leadership training to 200 youth enrolled in OICI's program.
 
       
  Partners of the Americas (POA)
POA has over a decade's worth of experience in implementing a USAID Farmer-to-Farmer program.  Recognizing that POA is an exception resource institution, OICI has partnered with the organization.  POA is providing assistance to OICI's FarmServe program in technical and mentoring capacities.
 
       
  World Food Programme
The United Nations World Food Programme is providing food aid assistance to food insecure communities in Ghana as part of OICI's Ghana Enhance food security initiative. 

 
       
  World Vision
World Vision is helping to construct borehole wells for OICI's Ghana Enhance programs; these wells are critical in bring clean water to rural communities.
