OIC International Board Adds Invaluable Expertise with Five New Members
OIC International has elected five new members to its Board of Directors. Named to the board were:
Mr. Eric-Vincent Guichard is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GRAVITAS Capital Advisors, Inc. Eric advises global and sovereign institutional assets. He oversees the Sovereign Solutions Practice which includes innovative macro solutions such as the Sovereign Debt Redemption Fund Ltd and the Pension Support Fund Ltd. In addition, Eric has initiated and manages innovative Absolute Return Products such as the Tactical Allocation Fund LLC. Eric has several financial patents pending with the U.S. Patent and Trade Office. He received a 2009 Risk Innovator Award from Risk & Insurance magazine.
Prior to GRAVITAS Capital, Eric was investment officer and portfolio manager at the World Bank Treasury Department where he also served as technical adviser to sovereign and multilateral institutions worldwide. Eric is a graduate of the University of Dakar, in Senegal, of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and of the Harvard Business School where he earned his MBA (World Bank Scholar and Harvard Fellowship award).
Eric has published articles on global finance, regulatory oversight and the behavioral impact of corporate incentives.
Dr. Kedibone Letlaka-Rennert is recognized by the Corporate Council on Africa as a leading female business owner. A South African national, she has extensive consulting experience in diversity management, human resources, and organizational transformation for the public and private sectors in both South Africa and the United States, founding her own human resources management consultancy, Phambili Strategies and Solutions RSA in 2000 and Phambili Strategies and Solutions International in 2003. She is currently diversity advisor for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where she provides strategic guidance for institutional implementation of a comprehensive Diversity Strategy.
Kedibone has also worked for the Standard Bank of South Africa as senior manager and head of transformation, directing 10,000 employees in the Retail Banking business unit; as human resources consultant for Hay Management Consultants; and as a corporate liaison with Bridging the Gap Consultants. Additionally, she served as director for The Family Institute in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she addressed health issues for Johannesburg’s poverty-stricken communities.
She holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from George Washington University, a master’s degree with honors from Rhodes University in South Africa, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Transkei and has published numerous papers in the field of psychology. She is both a Fulbright scholar and an Equal Opportunity scholar, and also serves as a member of the board of directors of City Year South Africa and Women for Women International.
Mr. Michael F. Lupton is vice president of investments for the private client group of Wells Fargo Advisors (formerly Wachovia Securities). Before joining Wells Fargo Advisors in 2009, he was vice president in Lehman Brothers’ private investment management and fixed income divisions, specializing in municipal securities. He began his career as a corporate bond trader for J.P Morgan Chase & Co. in 1996. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 66 designations.
Michael holds a B.S in computer science from the United States Naval Academy and a MBA with a finance concentration from Duke University (The Fuqua School of Business). While at Duke, he was a Rollins Scholarship Awardee, Fuqua Fellowship Recipient, Fuqua Fellow and was elected president of the MBAA Association.
Michael served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Marine Corps for eight years which awarded him both the Naval Achievement and Humanitarian Service Medals. He participated in Operations Desert Storm and Restore Hope.
Mr. Lynton Scotland is vice president of operational excellence at NRG Energy Incorporated, a leading generator and seller of power in the US. In that capacity he is responsible for the corporate project management office and the “FORNRG” (Focus On ROIC @ NRG) initiative. FORNRG is a flagship cost savings and process improvement program that returns over $300 million annual savings to the company.
Prior to joining NRG in 2006, Lynton worked at Hercules Incorporated for eighteen years, holding positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, quality, sales, marketing, work process redesign and procurement. He served as director of global strategic procurement with responsibility for worldwide procurement of hydrocarbon products and energy. He was a member of the management team of the Fiber Visions and Pinova divisions of the company.
Lynton was also responsible for sales and marketing for Hercules Sanyo Incorporated (HSI) a joint venture between Hercules Incorporated of Wilmington Delaware and Sanyo Chemical Company of Kyoto Japan.
Lynton holds a MBA in marketing and international business from the University of Pittsburgh, and a master’s degree in statistics from Rutgers University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Dayton, and also holds a certificate of professional development from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Lynton is a board member of the Executive Leadership Council & Foundation, a member of the board of trustees of the University of Dayton, a member of the advisory council for the University of Dayton School of Engineering, and board chairman for Urban Promise Wilmington. He was also an adjunct professor for the County College of Morris, NJ, where he taught courses in statistics and calculus.
Sharon Reed Walker, founder and president of The Long View Group, LLC, is committed to utilizing her 35 years of corporate experience in finance and strategy to inform and empower individuals and organizations. Sharon, who holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, has worked for Fortune 500 firms and in an entrepreneurial environment. She has held several leadership roles, holding titles of controller, vice president and chief financial officer.
Sharon’s experience is enhanced by her global perspective, having conducted business in over 30 countries in North and South America, Asia, Europe and Africa. Sharon has also had a meaningful impact on public policy having been invited to discuss the health care initiative at the Clinton White House, joining former Secretary of State Madeline Albright to comment on the economic rebuilding of Iraq, and participating in global nutrition sessions at the World Health Organization.
During her career Sharon has continuously provided meaningful counsel to many small businesses, non-profits and individuals. Today she is a member of several advisory boards, including those of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, the University of Southern Indiana and the Indiana Commission of Women.
