Ambitious Goals Announced for February Conference of OIC International Affiliates
OIC International has announced a wide-ranging, information-rich series of sessions for the landmark conference of its African country affiliates in late February.
The meeting, to be held in Philadelphia and Washington February 23-26, will bring together a panoply of OIC International stakeholders to chart a future course for the organization and achieve important goals, which include crafting the OIC International network into a powerful force for development on the African continent.

A bold entrepreneurship development initiative, sponsored by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) - designed to meet the needs of that nation's estimated 60 million unemployed and under-employed youth and develop a new breed of entrepreneurs to represent Nigeria - has reached a key milestone with the recent announcement by Dr. Alfred Tambe, OIC International vice president of programs and Nigeria country representative, that Memoranda of Understanding have been signed with three regional micro-finance institutions.

Dr. Molly Roth Is Appointed Executive Director of OIC International
Dr. Molly Roth, who joined OIC International in May 2006 and has served as its acting executive director for the past year, has been named executive director, it was announced by OIC International Board Chair Edmund D. Cooke, Jr. Dr. Roth has more than 20 years' experience in the management of not-for-profit organizations, with particular expertise in strategic planning, volunteer management and board development, government and public relations, communications, fundraising, and special events.
