OIC International Moves World Headquarters to Center City Philadelphia OIC International, Inc. has relocated its world headquarters to Center City Philadelphia, moving to a location chosen to showcase our capabilities and heighten awareness of our role among key constituencies in the city. Our new home, in the heart of Philadelphia’s business center, a short distance from City Hall, and close to major transportation hubs, is at 1500 Walnut Street. Previously located in the Germantown section of the city, OIC International was founded in 1970 as a global extension of Rev. Leon H. Sullivan's self-help principles originally embodied in the Opportunities Industrialization Center he established in North Philadelphia in 1964, OIC International had previously been located in the Germantown section of the city.
“The decision to move into Center City,” said Dr. Molly Roth, OIC International acting executive director, “reflects the increased attention being focused on the food security, health, and skills development challenges facing Africa today and the organizations worldwide dedicated to providing relevant and realistic solutions.
“Our new location,” she continued, “is especially convenient for our national and international visitors from New York, Washington, and beyond.”
OIC International has a team of more than 300 management and technical staff in sub-Saharan Africa and the United States providing more than a million beneficiaries annually in nearly a score of sub-Saharan Africa countries with the education and skills needed to help themselves, their families, and their communities.
