Opportunities Industrialization Centers Poland (OIC Poland)

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEWThe founders of OIC Poland were representatives of the local community in Lublin who were interested in starting activities to stimulate economic and social development in their region, particularly after the disintegration of the former U.S.S.R. Since its inception, OIC Poland has been successful in creating an efficient operating model that enjoys close cooperation with the state, the private business sector and other non-governmental partners. OIC Poland's training and advisory programs are aimed at recent school graduates, the unemployed, NGO activitists and managers and the business community. More than 50% of OIC Poland's clients are women. Program and educational services receive funding from a variety of sponsors, and thus programs are offered at a heavily discounted rate to beneficiaries. |
